Although the 750 Africa Twin evolved from the 1990 RD04 to the 1993 RD07 and 1996 RD07A variants, the 742cc 52-degree V-twin powertrain was unchanged throughout and on the whole has proved solidly reliable, as has the typically Honda-slick five-speed gearbox.
